Ever since the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy by EL James become a worldwide phenomenon and ranked high on guilty pleasure scales, fans have been dream casting the main characters, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. And a plethora of talented Hollywood stars have been recommended for the two roles — from Ian Somerhalder to Ashley Benson — and the list of names continues to grow. So, recently a very gifted artist rose to the challenge and, using physical descriptions from the books, drew out composite photos for the sexy fictional couple (which is definitely not an easy task to accomplish).
Whereas the sketch for Christian Grey loosely resembles Vampire Diaries stud Matt Davis (who plays Alaric Saltzman on the show) and movie vet Val Kilmer in his younger days, the composite drawing for Anastasia Steele looks practically identical to Pretty Little Liars beauty Lucy Hale. In fact, with their big round eyes (framed by lush lashes), long dark locks, and plump pout, the two look so eerily alike, we’re on the verge of crying out, “Doppelganger alert!”
Lucy has already expressed interest in tackling the sexy and popular role, so could this drawing be a sign that she’s destined to play a sexually curious young girl who falls for a handsome yet sadistic billionaire? It’s definitely a different type of character for her, but she’s proven that she’s more than capable of bringing the curious and complex character to life!
