PLL.com What was best part about the experience?
Sara: The best part of the experience was probably the entire day! I got there at about noon and went to my trailer. I had a trailer! It had a little couch, a makeup mirror, a closet, a bathroom, a microwave and a TV! Then I went to wardrobe, where they chose a teacherly outfit for me (and NOT so teacherly shoes…Manolo Blahnik heels, ha!) After that I was in hair and make-up (fake eyelashes!) and then we went on the set to watch a couple of scenes. Byron and Ella (Chad Lowe and Holly Marie Combs) were fighting. Their kids were in trouble. Drama for the Montgomery family! You watch scenes not where they’re happening, but on monitors slightly off the set. You wear headphones to hear the dialogue. You also hear everything else that’s going on after they yell “cut”—the director’s instructions, people moving lights and microphones around, the actors practicing their lines, etc. After that was my scene! It was a total blur, and in what seemed like minutes, I was finished, and my husband and I were eating dinner at the show’s craft services.
Another amazing thing about being on the set was that some legendary movies were shot on the same stage as PLL, including Casablanca. The Warner lot is full of history!
Now that you’ve got the scoop on Sara’s television debut, have you got any guesses as to why Rosewood Day might need a substitute teacher like Sara?
