While it’d be lovely if all people in Rosewood could co-exist peacefully, it certainly wouldn’t make for quality entertainment. After all, we viewers thrive on all the mysteries, mayhem and juicy twists! And, this week, guess who’s raising the drama bar in the Pretty Little Liars Season 3 midseason finale? Spencer Hastings and Paige McCullers! Spencer suspects Paige of being the new “A” and Paige suspects Spencer of being a cruel, bag-snooping snob. Despite who’s side you’re on, the truth is that these two fierce chicks are far from embarking on a beautiful friendship. Preview a tense showdown between the two characters in this clip from “The Lady Killer”

Spencer: If you’ve got something to say, then say it.
Paige : Emily called me this morning in tears. What the hell is wrong with you guys?
Spencer: (slams locker) What do you want, Paige?
Paige: (grips onto field hockey stick) I want you to leave Emily alone. She’s got a lot going on right now — she don’t need you making it worse for her.
Spencer: If you think I’m going to let you hurt her, you’re underestimating me.
Paige: If you don’t back down, you’re the one who’s going to get hurt, Spencer. I won’t let you come between us.
Spencer: I know who you are.
(Paige slams locker and storms off. Spencer stares at her trembling hand.)

Two interesting things to note: Paige grips onto the field hockey stick as though she’s petrified of Spencer and Spencer, in turn, begins quivering a bit from fear. Could one of them be faking their fright? Ay yi yi.
